CAI Arizona Advisory Groups provide meaningful volunteer opportunities that allow members to share their expertise, perspectives, and ideas while helping shape the Chapter's educational programs, networking opportunities, membership initiatives, and community outreach efforts.

Serving on an Advisory Group is a great way to build relationships, contribute your experience, and help strengthen the Chapter and the community association industry.

Applications are accepted annually for one-year appointments beginning September 1. Application instructions can be found below. 

Member Ambassador Group

Purpose:

  • Welcome and connect new members to the Chapter.
  • Encourage member participation and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase membership awareness & growth.
  • Promote Chapter programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective sponsors.

Time Expectations:

  • Up to four virtual meetings annually, as needed.
  • Brief outreach to new members on a regular basis (approx. one to two contacts per week).
  • Occasional outreach to prospective sponsors and members throughout the year.

Ideal For:

Members of all categories who enjoy networking, relationship building, and helping others get involved. Volunteers should be comfortable reaching out to new members and serving as a welcoming ambassador for the Chapter.

Education Group

Purpose:

  • Recommend educational topics for homeowner leaders and community managers.
  • Identify qualified speakers and subject matter experts.
  • Provide feedback on educational programming and event formats.
  • Share emerging trends and issues affecting community associations.

Time Expectations:

  • Up to four virtual meetings annually, as needed.
  • Occasional review of speaker or program ideas between meetings.

Ideal For:

Members who are passionate about professional development, education, and sharing industry knowledge. This group is well suited for homeowner leaders, experienced managers, and business partners with subject matter expertise.


HOA Resource Group

Purpose:

  • Provide industry expertise and guidance on member or community questions and best practices.
  • Identify recurring questions that may benefit from future education or resources.
  • Recommend topics for FAQs, articles, and educational programming.
  • Assist in gathering positive community association success stories and practical solutions.
  • The Group does not resolve individual homeowner disputes, provide legal advice, or intervene in association matters. Its role is to identify best practices, common questions and recommend resources.

Time Expectations:

  • Two to three virtual meetings annually, as needed.
  • Periodic review or response to submitted questions.

Ideal For:

Experienced HOA attorneys, PCAMs, & other seasoned industry professionals who enjoy sharing their expertise & helping educate members.
CAI Cares Group

Purpose:

  • Provide industry expertise and guidance on member or community questions and best practices.
  • Identify recurring questions that may benefit from future education or resources.
  • Recommend topics for FAQs, articles, and educational programming.
  • Assist in gathering positive community association success stories and practical solutions.
  • The Group does not resolve individual homeowner disputes, provide legal advice, or intervene in association matters. Its role is to identify best practices, common questions and recommend resources.

Time Expectations:

  • Two to three virtual meetings annually, as needed.
  • Periodic review or response to submitted questions.

Ideal For:

Members who enjoy giving back to the community and helping organize charitable activities. Open to all member types with an interest in community service.

Major Events Group

Purpose

  • Assist staff in executing key Chapter events, including the Annual Golf Tournament, Trade Shows, and other signature events.
  • Suggest ideas for networking and social events.

Time Expectations

  • On-site assistance at major Chapter events.
  • Up to four virtual meetings annually, as needed.

Ideal For

Members who enjoy networking and creating memorable member experiences. Open to all member types interested in helping with the Chapter's major events.
