Applications for Advisory Groups are open each fall to CAI Arizona members in good standing for service during the following calendar year. Each Advisory Group is supported by CAI Arizona staff, and the collaboration between volunteers and staff is essential to the Chapter's continued success. CAI Az Legislative Action Committee (LAC)The CAI Arizona Legislative Action Committee (LAC) is a volunteer, nonpartisan committee that serves as the Chapter's legislative advocacy arm. Comprised of homeowners, volunteer board members, community managers, management company representatives, and business partners, the LAC monitors and analyzes legislation affecting Arizona community associations and recommends the Chapter's positions on proposed bills. During the legislative session, members participate in weekly one-hour conference calls with the Chapter's lobbying team, review bill tracking reports, and assist with legislative strategy and advocacy efforts. The LAC also helps educate legislators and stakeholders on issues impacting community associations and has played an important role in advancing beneficial legislation while opposing proposals that could negatively affect Arizona HOAs. Board members serve three-year terms. All Chapter members in good standing are eligible and encouraged to apply.
