Legislative Reviews

Each year, the Arizona State Legislature considers laws that affect Community Associations, the people who live in them and the companies that work in the industry.  Each year, CAI’s Arizona Legislative Action Committee works to assist in crafting good, well-reasoned legislation and to prevent poorly drafted, or just plain bad, bills from becoming law.

Once the dust has settled, and the various bills have become law, it is important that everyone understand how these new statutes will effect the community association industry.  The AZLAC does a review of the new laws and drafts our annual Legislative Reviews.  While we feel that we have done a thorough analysis of the new legislation, we do reccomend that you contact your attorney for interpretation of these laws as they apply to a specific community or situation.
