Under direction of the Board of Directors, the Community Manager is responsible for the daily business operations and management direction of the Community Association required in the governing documents, any applicable state law and outlined in the CCMC management contract. Includes oversight of staff and service contractors and daily interaction with community residents and volunteers. The position requires the ability to multi-task on a variety of levels with the utmost of focus and professionalism. The Community Manager serves as an integral part of the leadership of the community, acting as advisor to the Board and volunteer committees regarding policies and procedures and creating a variety of social opportunities to promote and maintain a true sense of community.Sonoran Foothills is a 1,305 home desert community located in Northwest Phoenix. Homes range from $300,000 to $1 Million with panoramic views of the nearby mountains and descending natural wash corridors that help to define Sonoran Foothills. The rich abundance of amenities includes the 4,000 square foot Community Center and community park. There is a splash fountain, lap and leisure pool, and seven miles of hiking trails. Sports enthusiasts enjoy the basketball, soccer fields, volleyball and illuminated tennis courts.The ideal candidate will have: CAAM, 3+ years of on-site Community Manager experience at a homeowner controlled large-scale master-planned single family home community. Have strong leadership/management skills, experience managing a staff, a total commitment to the highest customer service possible, professional attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. |

Job Description |
Responsible for organizing, coordinating, planning, training, administering and evaluating recreation and leisure service programs and services for all ages and abilities for residents of Dobson Ranch Homeowners Association. oEstablish goals, objectives, and measurements for recreation programs, staff, and special events. oEstablish programming schedule, calendars, timelines, fees and charges for programs. oOrganize equipment, facility space, room rentals and/ or supplies. oResponsible for implementation and coordination of programs, events, activities or workshops for youth, teens, adults and/or retirees. oCoordinate and develop a working relationship with vendors, sponsors, instructors, volunteers and other service providers. oRequires experience in all aspects of managing multi-use recreation centers; including aquatic management and maintenance, basketball, tennis and racquetball courts, and parks and playgrounds.oCoordinates activities with various groups, supervises staff, and volunteers. oParticipates in budget preparation and administration for several recreation programs. oRegularly monitors performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development; not excluding disciplinary action to address performance deficiencies. oProvides customer service and assistance to residents, participants, and the public. oMust have a positive personality and strong management skills..Essential Job FunctionsoParticipates in the selection, training, supervision, motivation and evaluation of part-time staff. oMaintain discipline, safety and control of facilities and programs; including staff and participants. oAttend staff meetings and trainings. Plan and facilitate regular on-site staff meetings. oMaintains records and prepares reports, brochures, and informational material relating to program or activity. oHandles public inquiries and problems, attends meeting and provides input on recreation related issues.oKeeps log of current trends in recreation and leisure services field by reviewing professional literature and participating in professional organizations. oAssists with other recreation programs as requested. oMaintain adequate resources of supplies and equipment while staying within allotted budget. oMaintain equipment in safe working order. Arrange for repairs/replacements; often through a competitive bid process. oOrganize daily set-up and take down of center: lifting/moving tables, chairs, and boxes. oOther duties as deemed necessary by the Recreation Director and/or Executive Director. .Physical Demands oThe employee may occasionally be asked to lift up to 50lbs; including but not limited to lifting/moving of tables, chairs, or/or boxes. .Qualifications: oBachelor's degree in Recreation or closely related field. oProof of current CPR/First Aid certification. oCPRP certification preferred; if not, must be able to obtain within 2 years of employment.oAFO and Playground Safety certifications desired.oMembership in APRA and NRPA oRequires successful completion of required selection process, successful completion of background investigation and verification of identity and work authorization. .Applications available: oDownload at: www.dobsonranchhoa.comoPick up application at the La Casita Recreation Center, 2719 S.
