You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time into helping Chapter committees stay active and innovative.  Our committees implement the strategic plan for the Chapter.  From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in our area.

Some of the benefits:

  5. Share knowledge and experiences to create quality programs & services to improve the community association industry

Directory:  Responsible for the development of the CAI Memberships Directory.  They must collect updated membership information & proof that information for accuracy.  Also should look at new formats or improvements for the directory.  Must establish a budget & assist in getting advertising for the directory.

Education:  Responsible for selection of topics & speakers for Educational Luncheons and Manager forums, as well as planning, budgeting, obtaining sponsors & staffing each event.  Also oversees the Community Leader Forums (HOA Essentials).

Legislative Action: Responsible for identifying legislative issues of importance to common interest communities in Arizona.  This includes local, regional, statewide and federal legislation.  Monitors legislation and helps the Chapter set specific issue priorities.

Magazine:  Responsible for the content & editing of the quarterly publication of Community Resource.  The committee works with our membership to generate articles and with the publisher to ensure timely production and distribution of the magazine.

Membership/Sponsorship:  Responsible for recruitment of new members, and the retention of existing CAI Members.   Develops annual campaigns for membership drive in association with the National CAI program.  Also Responsible for the development of annual sponsorship programs.  This includes setting sponsorship levels & associated costs & benefits.  The committee assists in the development & procurement of sponsors, contacting new sponsors & ensuring existing sponsors continue their support.  

Programs:  Responsible for setting the annual events agenda for the chapter; there is usually one event a quarter.  The committee is responsible for planning, budgeting & obtaining sponsorships & staffing for each event.   Each event has its own subcommittee.
